Show Synopsis:

In the bleak break room of a craft store in Idaho, someone is summoning The Rapture.  Will, who has fled his rural hometown after a scandal at his Evangelical church, comes to the Hobby Lobby not only for employment but also to establish a relationship with Alex, his brooding teenage son, whom he gave up for adoption years earlier.  Alex works there along with Leroy, his adopted brother and protector, and Anna, a hapless young woman who reads bland fiction but hopes for dramatic endings.  As their manager, foul-mouthed Pauline, tries ceaselessly to find order (and profit) in the chaos of small business, these lost souls confront an unyielding world through the prism of modern faith.

Character Breakdown:

Will: Late thirties/early forties. Introspective, quiet and intense. Will has a kind heart, but is haunted by his past.

Pauline: Late thirties/early forties. An avid crafter she is not afraid of a bedazzler and glue gun. Hobby Lobby is her kingdom and she rules with an iron fist.

Anna: Late twenties/early thirties. She has completed all of the Game of Thrones and Harry Potter books multiple times. She has worked in retail most of her life, but is not very good at it. I imagine she has a very active YouTube account.

Leroy: Early to mid twenties. Leroy is an art student and works at Hobby Lobby part time. He is antagonistic to the system and makes his own t-shirts. He is a fish out of water in Boise, Idaho. He fiercely loves his brother Alex.

Alex: late teens. Alex is sensitive and anxious. He questions everything. The future to him is a like a vast, all encompassing ocean. The thought of it overwhelms him. He writes lyrics and poetry and working on an online novel.
